The Petty Legend knife set is a genuine Case collectable set. Only 1,500 sets have been manufactured and produced by W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company exclusively for Cash & Carry Stones, Inc. For over a century Case has had the proud heritage of producing the finest knives available. The Petty Legend is the third and final of the Petty series following "The King" and "Petty Blue," two of the most valuable knife collector sets in America today. The Petty Legend honors America's most famous stock car racing family in the history of NASCAR racing, featuring Lee Petty, Kyle Petty, and Richard Petty. The Petty Legend features three Coke Bottle Pattern knives: a BWC61050SS, a BW61251/2SS, and a BW62251/1SS, all three produced in burnt bone handles with a gold raised shield. Each blade is a flat ground Tru-sharp surgical steel mirror polish etched with the personal signatures of Lee, Kyle, and Richard Petty. The serial number of each knife is surrounded by the "long tail C" design, a registered trademark of W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company. These knives are displayed in a custom solid wooden cherry presentation box lined in a rich blue velvet with the top of each box being deep laser etched with a picture of the Petty's.
